OHMYGi: Chilean Artist Debuts in LA dropping an empowering feminine Bass Heavy Anthem with a fierce Videoclip from her
Album "DANGER IN PINK"
"I'm Danger" debuted on Nov 26, a track that is sung, written and produced by Chilean Artist Gisela Lindhorst, better known as OHMYGi. A bilingual song where the blend of English and her native Spanish is a completely immersive experience. Through these lyrics she looks to express her point of view on female oppression and holding space for awareness. Using her sound as a direct call to turn towards empowerment: "where each one of us plays their active role". Tracks like these are a rarity in bass music, even more when they come with an amazing socially reflective Music Video, premiering Dec 10.
The promo single of her forthcoming Debut Album "Danger In Pink”, released via Matter Of Taste, is an eclectic electronic bass song with heavy baselines, thundering drums, and a melodic arrangement that adds depth, edge and completion to the song. Inspired by powerful female role models throughout her life, OHMYGi is now using her creativity as a channel where the listener can experience and manifest by looking to repair the social perception of what it means to be a woman these days and a divine human being, and by asserting that the woman is as essential to the world as oxygen or gravity. This is a reminder of our main purpose of love and care, as we all seek to find balance while avoiding divisions between sex, race, gender and religion among us.
The 27-year-old standout producer, songwriter, DJ and performer is sharing an authentic and honest perspective and autobiographical journey of epic proportions. OHMYGi graduated from Icon Collective’s Music Production Program Dec. 2020, a school which counts SLANDER, NGHTMRE, Jauz, Kaivon and more with the most prestigious award "Icon Ambassador" making her the first female to receive that title after previously winning the first Women's Scholarship as well. OHMYGi is for sure an act you have to catch as soon as you can, you won't want to miss out on everything she has in store for 2022 and beyond.

"I'm Danger" music video was filmed during the pandemic putting an extra challenge in the craft of recording. Finding its way through strict protocoles of safety so that everyone involved could bring this project to life!
In the video the message is carried out through out the story line in "La Perrera" an isolated place where you can barely breathe. A dilapidated building retaining in it’s captivity leaders, warriors, and heroines. Their mission is to awaken society from darkness to start the transformation within an apocalyptic world that falls apart between pandemics, intellectual and lethal viruses. Each one of them, away from sun and moonlight, knows that being captive is a waste of their healing potential, frustrating their vision of justice. The darkness around manages to strengthen the reign of evil. With each day passing, their powers suffer from exhaustion until they lose their own identity and hope of humanity.
The video locks into what it is to be a reminder that there’s a need for a shift. OHMYGi arrives to this prison with the mission of guiding and leading the liberation of her sisters and herself.
"We cannot remain caged and tamed by letting our youth, days, and lives go while being limited by mental fears and lack of opportunities, or social injustices. We have the power to write our history if we have the necessary willpower and self-control to be determined; even more, we have creativity that allows us to leave a trace of our change in the same act. The final message lies in the fact that to build a better society; we must play an active role independently and in a group; both are necessary to integrate permanent changes in our humanity."
"Perrera Arte" was the perfect place to capture the theme. It is a Cultural Experimental Center in the heart of Santiago de Chile, house of numerous artistic performances and expositions. The Artistic Collective decided to collaborate with OHMYGi’s vision letting her use this historical place, ex dog-pound and garbage dump. This place was the heart of the whole static of the music video. The Old Los Angeles Zoo in Griffith Park was also used as a location, open and perfect for the second shooting session. You can see this powerful group of females perform "I'm Danger" this upcoming Dec 10 for the Worldwide Premier via Youtube.
